A Dance Partner -
If you are new to ballroom dancing (or any other kind of dance that involves dancing with a partner) or an experienced dancer who is looking for a new partner, here are some tips to keep in mind when choosing your " other half "to congratulate him on the dance floor. While some features of a potential partner may be seen from the start, others may take a while (or at least a few trials) for implementation. Brother, friend or stranger, as a dance partner is necessary not only to paper but also for the public to support their entertaining extends far beyond the perfect measurements and choreography. When dancing, you're telling a story, expressing yourself, not with words but with all parts of his body and inner being.

Trust
This is the first and one of the most important features to look for in a dance partner.
As a dancer, you must have confidence in herself to be led on the dance floor. Dance is one of the few cases where a woman requires the ability to guess what happened the man will take before it really takes it. It is the duty of women to step with confidence and continue with the couple in each progressive step and in some cases, such as twists, turns, spins and lifts, be able to have enough faith to know he was going to direct it correctly and adequate and not let down.
As a dancer, confidence comes in the sense of being able to carry the lady on the dance floor to convey to her (only with body movement) what to do. It is man who decides what happens on the dance floor where the floor is going on and that the figures and the steps to dance, so having a male partner who is confident in the ability to make immediate decisions about dance and women maneuver around other couples on the dance floor, is harmful.
If you are a gentleman who had the confidence to ask a lady to the dance floor first, then you have the condition of being a great dancer!
Physical Attraction
As with regular partners, physical attraction is important for dance partners to build and maintain chemistry on the dance floor. If your man or woman will have an attractive partner for some "fizz" in their dance. As a dancer, if no connection with your partner on the dance floor, you're as good as if you were to dance alone and spectators will be the first to conclude that you are a "gap".
Compatibility
Support is on par with the end of the second and I am using the term in a much broader sense including (but not limited to) the physical compatibility (height, weight, built), age and interests. It is much easier to dance and interact with a partner who is of the same age and share common interests as you. Physical compatibility is important for couples who dance standard / smooth and Latin / rhythm styles to maintain the shape and posture to facilitate parent / next and find no problems in the dance floor. It is also important to ensure that the partner you choose has the same interests and goals for the ball as to avoid any misunderstanding and misinterpretation of intentions later.
Comfortable to dance with
In a great show of dance, there's no turning back. When you dance, you should be able to express themselves and feel free to "Let Go", disconnect from everyday life and connect with a different domain. To achieve this, you need a partner to dance at home in the vicinity and with a partner who makes you want to throw away every bit of shyness and questions you may have.
It may not be able to address the issue of "comfort level" to dance with a brand new pair at first, but over time, or you may be able to judge how "close" can be without creating uncomfortable situations and now or will be able to get beyond what he felt discomfort at first. Everything takes time to adjust / adapt to, so do not give up without at least trying.
Patience
This is especially true for people whose partners are possible above / below your level and knowledge of dance. One must ensure that the partner has enough patience to teach and / or practice with you (without the struggle and disagreement) until both have reached the same level and have mastered the techniques of each step and variation. Nobody is perfect and nobody can do it right every time, therefore have a stable support with persistence and diligence can make your dance experience that much more enjoyable.
Dedication and commitment
For some, dancing is the second walk in nature, while others consider it a challenge to hear and feel the music and dance in sync with a rhythm, much less a blow and a partner at the same time. In my years of dancing with many different partners (from beginners who have never taken a dance step in your life to people who feel the music in your body and have the spring in the feet) I noticed that no matter what your level and knowledge of dance is, as with every new adventure in life, a little dedication and hard work will appear to have been dancing for years. The dance is a very competitive and challenging sport and comes with a lot of practice, sweat, falls, bruises and sore feet. But if you can find a partner who is as dedicated as it is to be a good dancer, as clearly as you can see beyond the pain and enjoy every moment you're on the dance floor.
Creativity and Imagination
Like any other art form and expression, the dance requires a great deal of imagination and creativity. Performing some basic routines and steps that you and your partner have learned in school is one thing, but the choreography that keeps an audience and yourself (as dancer) entertained and interested is a challenge. This is especially felt by beginners, whose dance is limited to a few basic steps. In such cases, the dance can become very boring and monotonous, but if I had a creative partner who can take the basic steps and routines and reach a new twist or two, I guarantee you will want to stay on track dance for the next dance.
Passion for dancing
This, in my book of dance is the most important thing to look at a dance partner. Some people dance for exercise / fitness purposes, for some it is a place to make new friends of the opposite sex, while a handful too, dancing is a hobby and a passion. Regardless of age, color and knowledge of their potential partner is, the lure him / her, what physical capabilities and compatibility with your partner's dancing or how well they can be to keep pace, the important feature everything possible to find a dance partner should be your passion for dancing. For without passion, no desire to express, to let go and let your body, feet, arms and facial expressions tell a story.
Choose a partner who can bring out the best in you, can constantly motivate someone to be better than you, someone is giving you the confidence to take the next step. Do not let your (poor) choice of a partner to avoid or limit you dance to the best of their ability.
